The Apache Nation are care takers of the Largest Copper and Precious metal deposits known to man centered in Arizona surrounded by New Mexico, Nevada and Old Mexico. Collectively comprise the largest copper recovery efforts globally.

Agent Orange Spraying of Defoliant on the Pinal Mountains Arizona 1965 - 1969 adjacent to the San Carlos Apache Reservation. The project included Reservation river basins where the communities live however there have been no investigations disclosed to date or public records available. First hand accounts are numerous in the community recorded by oral traditions for over the last 45 years. IHS services are the only health care system provided to the community a federal government agency under the military branch that serves Indian communities of the United States.

Fact barrels of Dioxins were found on the San Carlos Apache Reservation years before and after 2000 quietly removed by the BIA. In one case a whole room full of barrels containing the dioxins were found in the late 1990's in the Tufa Stone buildings used by government administrations. Three 55 gallon containers were recently removed after 2000 from a BIA compound on the reservation remnants of spraying programs in the 1960's according to local residence and eye witnesses. Medical wastes and other unknown contaminants are buried surrounding the community previous to EPA programs becoming established. San Carlos Apache reservation currently has high levels of cancers in several districts that are known to have been sprayed with the defoliant Agent Orange. Cowboys, Farmers, Gatherers of "Sticks" raw materials for traditional burden baskets and cradle boards male and female, pottery makers who use the clay of the riverbeds, and fisherman were all exposed and continue to be to this day.

                 2. Barrels unknown numbers in one case a room full was found in administration building basements. BIA removed.

                 3. Barrels found buried at Tuffa Stone Housing development in residential area Nine 55 gallon drums were
                      quietly removed by BIA contractors.

                 4. Barrels found at district Chapter House facility which also serves as the Headstart program preschools
                      for the districts. An unknown number of containers were discovered buried on the property.

                 5. Barrels found at Biologist compound Three 55 gallon drums removed in 2008.

Reports of spraying from eastern boundaries of reservation Gila River and San Carlos river eye witnessed.

"Since 1973, the residents of Kellner Canyon, worried about the quality of their well water, have hauled their water from Globe’s city spigot three miles away. Bob McKusick, who lives on property either side of Kellner Creek and keeps a number of goats believes; “The chemicals are locked inside the clay underground, but when it rains they are released.” He believes his goats are like miners canaries and after a period of very heavy rain one kid was born with reproductive organs backwards, two more were born without anal openings, a fourth was born with a cleft palate and grew very little."

Fact in 1986 the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) had tested Kellner Canyon as part of the National Dioxin Study. They found the highest dioxin concentration anywhere in America on the helipad site above Globe. San Carlos drainage basin is down flow from the Pinal Range, with Gila County having the highest rate of cancers per capita than any other county in the United States.
